Hello Beauties! This past weekend I got the chance to attend NYFW for a couple of shows and it was a dream come true! The streets of NYC were flowing with fashionistas and creative minds everywhere!
First off I’m still trying to catch up from all of the craziness that went on this past weekend as I write this post. I learned a lot this weekend from personal experiences and wanted to share a few tips if you plan on going next year.
The Banana Republic x Olivia Palermo Presentation
Designer Adolfo Sanchez and a Model wearing his couture dress
The Brian Wood Runway was Amazing
Special Thanks to my lovely friend Melissa for accompanying to all the shows!
Side Note I did finally get to try a Matcha Iced drink at the cutest Parisian Café called Le Pain Quotidien.
So many of you might not know this but I decided to take this trip to NYFW very last minute. Which means I planned my outfits literally two days before. I wanted to just go for the learning experience more than anything and next year I will be READY NYFW! One thing I learned is to plan ahead and schedule your day out accordingly. I missed a few shows because we were late and that’s a big NO NO, the shows are only about 15 to 20 minutes long. When I planned our day I didn’t consider the crazy NYC traffic etc. Another thing I would recommend is to of course wear comfy shoes, you will be walking and standing in lines at some of the shows. I also suggest to carry a small snack in your purse, we went almost a whole day without eating on Saturday trying to get to shows on time. The last thing I suggest is to network while you are there, you will learn trick and tips from other bloggers that have experienced it before. I learned that some shows don’t require invite and are open to the public which is nice because it gives an opportunity to upcoming bloggers like me to experience a runway show. Through all the craziness that happens behind the scenes lets not forget the real reason why we are there, it is for the art of FASHION! Its been real, Till next time New York Fashion week!
Thank you for stopping by my loves!
